Guatemala

A LAND OF FIRE & WATER

Guatemala captured our hearts and far more of our time than we’d initially planned. When we first visited we had 10 days planned to explore this small country, nestled in an abundant corner of central America. We even had flights booked to leave, a real itinerary. A plan. Nevertheless, Guatemala’s lofty volcanic peaks, limestone waterfalls & black sand beaches caught us raptured. We stayed three and a half weeks and could have made them months.

Whether it’s erupting volcanoes, spectacular surf, the ruins of infamous civilisations or cafes serving the richest chocolate known to man, Guatemala has it covered. We share what we experienced & what we learnt. The good, the not so good, and the sights that have burned themselves into our memories forever.
